Android Box Comparison and Guide
We know that shopping for an android TV box can be quite stressful as there is a large range of boxes available. Truth be told is that a lot of cheap android boxes are very low quality and although the price point might look good these boxes can rarely handle resource hogging apps like Kodi and repeatedly crash and usually don't last more than a few months.
We feel that we have found the best quality boxes in the various price ranges so we try to keep our range small..quality over quantity! It is important to note that all of our boxes will run the same content and the difference is in the hardware of the boxes. Here are some things to look at when purchasing an android TV box.
Processors and graphics units (GPU's):
Amlogic lead the way in android box processors and their two best chips at the moment are the S905W and the S912. The S905W is a very good chip that comes with the Penta-core ARM Mali-450MP graphics unit. This chip is capable of playing 4K quality (4 times HD!) at 30fps (frames per second) so it is a very good chip.
The Amlogic S912 is their flagship processor that comes with the ARM Mali-T820MP3 graphics unit capable of playing 4K at 60fps. The S912 Both chips are very good and generally anything from Amlogic is of a high standard so it really comes down to your budget.
You will then have quad core and octa core processors both of which are very capable with the octa core processors being a little faster. You can view our boxes by processor here:
RAM (Random Access Memory):
RAM is very important and all of our boxes come with at least 1GB of RAM. The more RAM you have the faster your box will be changing apps and doing various functions. We offer boxes with various amounts of RAM from 1GB to 3GB. You can view boxes by RAM here:
